HOW CAN YOU HELP?

HOW YOU CAN HELP

As always, we are grateful for anything people are willing and able to do for Baiba and Agnese. We have listed some of the ways you can help.

  1. Prayers! The more the merrier and it costs nothing but time.
  2. Frequent Flyer Miles:  If you are in a position to donate frequent flyer miles please contact us at: david@adoptquest.org or 303-829-6888
  3. Monetary: No amount is too small. If you have $10.00 to donate that puts us ten dollars closer. Please read carefully the ways to contribute monetarily. Your donation can be tax-deductible!
  4. PayPal: To make a donation directly to us you can use the PayPal option on this site or mail a check to: David or Julie Payne , P.O. Box 620596, Littleton, CO 80162-0596.  If you choose this option your donation will not be tax-deductible.

Tax-deductible donation:

You can donate online or by mailing a check. There are specific rules that must be followed. These rules apply to all non-profits of this kind and are according to ethical and accepted protocol.

Please Read Carefully

Online

Go to www.givingfirst.org/soci This link will take you directly to the correct page. Click on the "Donate Now" button and write “Baiba” in the Comment box. It is very important that you not write our names; only “Baiba.” *

Checks

You may also send funds directly to:

Servants of Christ Int'l, 3018 Carla Drive, Rowlett, TX 75088

Please DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING ON THE MEMO LINE .  Attach a post it note indicating your suggested cause, which in this case would be “Baiba”. *

* Our names on the memo line or in the remarks section online, indicates to the IRS that the money is coming directly to us when in fact it is going to the charitable cause of helping an orphan.

How Your Donation Will Be Processed

Your donations will be managed through Servants of Christ International. This organization will have an accounting of where all funds are distributed.

You will receive an email acknowledgement from Community First foundation (givingfirst.org) but your tax receipt will come from SOCI. You will have the option of setting up a monthly or recurring donation, from checking, savings, credit, or debit card or making a one-time

donation.

According to the law, donations, in order to be tax deductible, must include a release of control to the board of the 501c3.

While you are allowed to make a suggestion as to the use of funds, you are in fact releasing all control of the funds to SOCI. This release is required in order to receive a tax receipt and is typical in this type of situation.  Rest assured that SOCI has a long history of listening very carefully to suggestions, and also a history of contacting donors anytime there is an issue with a suggestion. Your donation will go to Baiba.

This all can be a bit confusing. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
